Wet Basement Repair by Basement Systems Saskatchewan
This 1960s house with concrete block walls had been problematic for 40 plus years. How do we know that?... by the styles of clothing that had been used by the previous homeowner Granny to stuff the blocks against water and cold air penetration. The next homeowner had jackhammered little groove trenches all over the floor leading to the floor drain. They had even tried an Exterior Hydrovac Culvert with a pump in it to pump "ground water table" but that just made it easier for the rain to get to the basement level alongside the dig created in the soil. The basement was STILL wet most of the year.
Basement Systems Saskatchewan installed their WaterGuard piping system with CleanSpace wall wrap to catch any wall cracks, form tie and cold joint leaks directly into the system and take all the water collected to the Triple Safe sump pump (three pumps including a battery backup pump in case of a power outage). When Anita was diagnosing this home's problems- she warned the homeowner that the old cast iron plumbing was likely rotted after 50 yrs and would probably need replacing. True to her suspicions, the sewer p-trap was rotted and leaking into the soil beneath the floor... pheewww! A licenced plumber was brought in to replace the 6' of sewer pipe and the waterproofing repair was completed. It's now dry as a bone inside and outside the two IceGuards allow the sump to drain all year round without freezing up. Jobs done Bob!!
(with the exception of the electrical outlets to be done by a licenced electrician yet, in after picture).

From Swamp to Swank in Wakaw Lake, SK
These Homeowners complained of smells, doors not closing properly and dampness on their carpets upstairs. Go in to the crawlspace and it's a good thing that alligators are not in this country, because this was a swamp!
Add a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, a Ultra Sump pump system, and the CleanSpace encapsulation system, and voila... you have a new swanky white clean dry space.
PS: the doors upstairs are closing properly now, the carpets feel dry and the air quality is noticeably different within TWO days of putting in the dehumidifier. The Homeowners are so amazed they think it's their imagination...Nope!

From "Scary Place" to Cleaned, Insulated and CleanSpace Encapsulated Usable Storage Area
This beautiful modern home had a scary place that everyone avoided because of the bugs, critters and odors. The cable guys to the heating and plumbers found excuses not to come when they realized it was a crawlspace they had to work in. See BEFORE picture.
Basement Systems Saskatchewan cleaned it up, attached the wires, insulated the walls and rim joist, applied CleanSpace Crawlspace wrap to encapsulate all the soil and stop the odors. See AFTER picture.
Now, no problem getting contractors to come service the house. Homeowners have beautiful usable storage space that is warm, dry and critter free! Gotta love it!

"Swamp Monster!"
This home was a 1980's bungalow with a full basement that had a crawlspace below. The homeowners complained of horrible odors and mold issues to the point where the rotted subfloor and some floor joists had to be removed and replaced. Upon inspection, the builder had put weeping tile around the exterior footing as required but then tee'd the line into the crawlspace attaching only a filtered sock weeping tile to the interior. Whenever any water was picked up from the exterior weeping tile, it was drained and dumped into the soil in the crawlspace! There was no solid pipe to the sump or sewer! It made a spectacular SWAMP in the homeowners crawlspace! See BEFORE picture.
Basement Systems Saskatchewan repaired the home by attaching a solid drain pipe from the weeping tile tee staight to the sump pump. Many yards of crushed rock were hauled in to firm up the soil and create the ability for water to travel to the sump pump without removing soil. CleanSpace Crawlspace wrap encapsulated the soil totally and our industrial sized dehumidifier took care of the humidity so no more rotting floors. The difference in the home's air quality was instantly noticeable. See AFTER picture.

CrawlSpace Beauty September 2019
Go Girls Go!
This crawlspace had a very small opening so the man of the house couldn't get into it. Anita and the Lady of the house did all the work... from dragging all the debris out and cleaning it, to installing the CleanSpace wrap and securing it to the insulated walls, removing and relocating the heaters, to adding upright & level teleposts and pads. What a change! What an amazing "worker" she was- able to use both hands AND feet on the job!

Basement Waterproofing 2020
Some homes have "sump pits" that truly are ugly to live with. Here we are installing a Triple Safe Sump into an area that had a washtub in a hole with wood stakes trying to keep the sand soil from slumping into the failing pump. The proper knowledge and training for correct installation is key for the pumps operation and it also looks much nicer in the end.

Basement Wall and Floor Seepage Repair
This home had water seepage both through the walls and floor/wall joint. We installed CleanSpace wall wrap that tucked into the WaterGuard piping system which took all water to the Triple Sump pump. No more water on the floor! Dry Basement! Yahooo!!
