Jake presented a good plan, which avoided problems that certainly would have occurred with the plan presented by your competition. I took careful notice of the reviews on Angie's List, and call some of the references, which were supportive. Finally, I chose Johns as a company that had been in business for some time and had extensive experience installing the basement waterproofing system. The guarantee was an extremely important factor in my decision, and John's track record suggests that it will remain in business and stand by the guarantee should problems occur.This was the best part of the project. Delfino and his crew (Francisco, Aaron, Ceasar) worked incredibly hard, were polite and considerate, and provided what appears to be a good installation. I give them my strongest recommendation. How they managed to hand carry 6 yards of broken concrete up out of that basement in the time they did is beyond me.John's employees spoke highly of the company, and the benefits offered. It sounds like a well run business.Please note that the system was installed in Central Oregon at our second home on the Deschutes River, where we are dealing with a high water table issue in summer. As of this writing, the water table is nearing its summer level, the sump pumps are working, and the basement/crawl space is dry.

One of your crews came out to my house a few weeks ago to complete a job. They arrived within the time window, were polite, transparent about the work that they were doing and after some rain, I can vouch that they did quality work. Thank you. The deign Specialist did a very good job explaining the proposed solution and was very knowledgeable and thorough in his inspection of the house and issue. He took the time to understand our concerns and then developed a good solution to the issue that I had confidence in. The company seemed to have the knowledge, expertise and experience to resolve our sump pump/drainage issues. All of the people at the company that I interfaced with seem to feel good about the company and it shows in their attitude and work ethic. The crew was excellent. They worked extremely hard. The work required digging trenches and laying pipe and they did a great job covering the trenches and returning the ground to as close to the way it was prior to the work. The crew was courteous and friendly. They pointed out something in the original design that was not optimal and were able to correct it so that the system will work properly.The first rains will prove that everything is working correctly but I am happy with the work and confident if there were any issues that the company would make it correct.

One of my wife's friends mentioned you now had plumbing, local, your plumber + apprentice seemed squared away on the estimate visit (and throughout). The whole process went well. My floor needed work, which was no surprise, but was confirmed when the old equip was taken out. The water heats and flows to the right places. They answered my questions and kept on task. The work of Cory and David was my \"happy dollar\".

Kayla did a great job working around my schedule and finding a perfect time for me. The estimate process was spot on and the follow through service was excellent. We used John's Waterproofing to waterproof our basement. They put in a drainage channel around the perimeter of the basement and they put in a sump pump with a battery backup. They put in an air dehumidifier and put up whitewall sheeting on the walls. It was excellent. They did most of it in one day. They were very professional and very clean. They made sure that nothing was damaged. They broke up a lot of the concrete so there was a lot of dust and they made sure they ventilated the basement. They didn't get any dust in the house. They took a lot of time to show me how to operate the sump pump and the dehumidifier. We don’t know if it was a lot or a little to pay.

We encountered a serious water problem in our daylight basement that a new sump system wasn't fixing. We asked John's Waterproofing to look at it, and they recommended their drainage system to fix what was thought to be a "cold joint" problem; water seepage between the foundation and the wall. We agreed; they began the work and quickly they discovered that wasn't it at all; the water was coming down the inside wall from outside. They quickly stopped tearing out drywall, and we weren't charged anything. We did contract with them to move an existing sump pump system and install a more substantial moisture barrier in the crawlspace, a job they did well. All of the workers were very courteous and industrious, and we feel we got our money's worth for the work they did. I'd hire them again, definitely.

Sump Pump Done Right in Portland, OR

Here is a customer in Portland, Oregon called stating that his sump pump wasn't working or pumping out water. When our team went out to look they found this homemade sump pump that definitely was not working and there was standing water and much in the crawl space. The Foreman went over all of the issues and the possible fixes with the customer and they decided that a full encapsulation was the best choice. Customer now has a clean, dry crawl space that is virtually maintenance-free while also helping cut costs on his energy consumption.

This homes old vapor barrier had not been properly sealed, allowing high humidity levels to pernitrate the crawlspace. This lead to drooping fiberglass insulation. Over the years this added a debris build up on the barrier that left the crawlspace ill-protected. To keep this issue from happening again, we installed a full Crawlspace Encapsulation.
