Thrasher Foundation Repair

A homeowner in Lesterville, MO called us out because his cellar had problems with water intrusion for several years. After he decided it was too much of a problem and too timely to handle himself, he looked into our solutions and determined that with our decades of experience and our warranties that we would be a good fit to solve his unique cellar water problems.

We sent System Design Specialist Nick Tiberghien to inspect the cellar and determine how to best prevent water from flooding it. Upon inspection, Nick found that the water intrusion was due to cracks in the walls and floor as well as the one path downhill to enter and exit the cellar. Cellars are easily flooded as they are fairly exposed to the elements more so than a basement and their single entrances usually lead downhill, providing an easy path for water to flow through. Nick talked to the homeowner about this problem and told the homeowner of our interior waterproofing solutions that could help prevent water from pooling once it entered the cellar. The homeowner was grateful that we proposed solutions and wanted to help him, so after his approval, our team got to work on installing waterproofing solutions. Our installation team utilized a full perimeter WaterGuard Drainage System with a Lateral Line to address all water that was coming through the cold joints and cracks. After this, the team worked to install CleanSpace Vapor Barrier to prevent water from coming through the wall cracks, as well as to help minimize the amount of moisture coming through the walls and reduce the relative humidity of the cellar. Finally, our team installed an Ultra Sump Pump with a buried discharge pipe to redirect all water coming into the cellar back outside.

The homeowners were very happy with the solutions our team was able to install. They said that is was the best because he had previously tried other solutions that failed. Crumbling concrete support blocks were endangering the floor and foundation of this home, and this homeowner needed a solution installed quickly. After performing a thorough inspection of the homes crawl space, we proposed our SmartJack system to restore stability to the home and lift the floors back to their original position. 

The current supports for this home are cinder blocks that are breaking and offer little to no support as the floor began to fall down. They called Thrasher to come out to replace the old support structures with new. We used a smart jack 350 system to stabilize the home and lift the failing floor back up to its original position. 
 

This crawlspace was experiencing an array of issues. It was extremely damp and had high humidity. This weakened the floor system, allowing it to sag and drop under the weight of the home. We encapsulated the entire crawlspace to fix these issues, making it a controlled environment. We then installed a Sedona dehumidifier to dry out the crawlspace and flooring system and prevent any future mold growth. Then we installed 8 galvanized steel beams and 16 smart jacks to to permanently stabilize the floors and lift them back into place, closing the gaps between the walls and ceiling. 

Driveways crack for a variety of reasons. Shrinkage, water drainage, weather changes, age, excessive weight... the list goes on and on. NeusPro concrete crack repair is a silicone-based crack and joint sealer that stops moisture from seeping beneath the slab, making it a long-lasting and durable cracked concrete repair solution.

The homeowner called Thrasher to fix their sinking steps before the problem got worse and more expensive to fix the longer it went on. Instead of using outdated Mudjacking, Thrasher used a better method called PolyLevel. Mudjacking can make the problem worse over time and is messy, with slurry coming out of holes and cracks. It also takes a long time to dry. On the other hand, PolyLevel is a modern solution. It uses lightweight polymers to lift and stabilize the concrete. It's clean and fast, and it doesn't put extra weight or pressure on weak soils. This method is great for driveways, sidewalks, patios, and pool decks.

This customer was sick and tired of water in her basement and wanted to put an end to it. To fix, we installed our interior drainage system and sump pump. The interior drainage system collects the water that seeps through the walls and channels it to the sump pump. The sump pump then pumps the excess water out and way from the home. We also installed a dehumidifier to help control the humidity and get rid of the musty smell.

Gerald H. recently moved into his home in last year. He was aware that there could be possible problems with the foundation. He started to notice that the hallway floor from the garage was starting to become uneven the door was not longer closing properly. System Design Specialist Elliot Moles went out to Gerald’s home. He was able to see that the floors were uneven, and the door was sticking and came up with the solution of installing Push Piers. We installed three Push Piers to lift the hallway and bring the floors back to level. Gerald was extremely thrilled to have the floors level and didn’t realize how much of an impact this would have on his home.

Robert L. is a proud homeowner in Waynesville, MO and wasn’t content with the appearance of the concrete around his property. The walkway leading to the front door wasn’t sealed properly, the front stoop had multiple cracks, and the driveway had large voids from the concrete settling. To begin the project, System Design Specialist Miles Bearden arrived in Waynesville, MO to undergo a full inspection of the surrounding concrete. The customer opted to have us install our 2-part concrete protection system that consists of our PolyLevel foam and NexusPro sealer. PolyLevel is installed first by injecting it underneath the concrete to fill the voids and level-out the surface. NexusPro is then applied to all cracks and control joints to permanently prevent any water from entering and causing further damage.

Robert was pleased with the outcome of the project and gave Thrasher a five-star review. He was thrilled to have his concrete looking flush and protected in order to stand the test of time.
