I enjoyed watching Brent turn the post to raise the house and he explained everything he was doing as he went, and explained the codes as he went.

We did request and estimate to place jacks under the sistered floor joist. Still waiting for the estimate. Maybe another miscommunication.

I waited a while to get back because I waited for a long raining period to make sure the problem was fixed. Right now it looked like it worked.

The original placement of the dehumidifier was to be in the garage - as indicated by the salesman. When the renovation was underway, we found out that it was going to have to be placed inside. It was suggested that we put it in our bedroom - not an option for me. Fortunately we had a well placed small unused closet under the stairs that fit the machine perfectly. However, this is something that should be better discussed at the time of the sale. Due to the loud sound of the machine, I would still have preferred it to be in the garage.

I will be anxious to see if this will reduce our electric bill and Improve the heating in the winter time.

The Basement Doctor did everything they said they would and more. I can not say enough about how pleased I am with the job they did for us. I would recommend this company to anyone looking to have foundation work done on their home without any hesitation.

Dear Mr. Miles, I wanted to write a personal letter to commend the three young men that worked at our home recently.  Rusty Little, Dennis Johnson, and Dylan Davidson were a pleasure.  All three of them worked extremely hard to get the job done.  In addition to working hard, they were very considerate in doing the work.  They probably had to work harder to avoid tearing up tile and having to move things (water heater).  We are pleased that for the very first time in 20 years we had about 3 inches of rain and not a drop in our basement. I took the time to write this additional good review because these three young men deserve it and I would hope the company is doing whatever than can to retain these guys!  Thank you again and I will gladly recommend your company God Bless, Lisa J

Because of our age, we did not want to worry about lack of power to run our sump pumps. Battery backups provide us with peace of mind during storms. Both the sales rep and installer were very informative about the products.

We met Brent at our pre-inspection. He was very knowledgeable and helpful in letting us know what to expect. WE are very glad that he was our foreman for the job. The best part this job was working with Brent Adams as our foreman. He led a very hard working crew. Very friendly and polite. The staff is polite and courteous. Some additional contact was required in order to fulfill requests.

I was hestitant about the work part as it was a big job. You sent Brent as a "pre-work" inspector and we went over everything. I was so impressed with Brent that it just set the tone for the project. By the time he left I was so comfortable with what "we" needed to do to get ready and how respectful he was about our property. It left me with a level of comfort that I have never had with a work crew. He made specific notes of items that our home he would take special care of and was such a genuine person. Brent gave us their start and stop times and they were on time every day. Brent was in constant communication with us and I felt comfortable with Joe and Chris. Each person on this crew treated me with kindness and respect. Brent was super detailed of only tearing up exactly what he needed even if it meant several hours of HOT, dirty shoveling for him and his guys. Not one complaint out of any of them for doing the extra work!!! Every day before they left they really took the time to clean up the areas they were working on even if they were coming back the next day. I think if Brent would have come to the first meeting we wouldn't have waited a year to get on board. Brent is so knowledgable and gained my trust immediately! We are so pleased with this job and mainly because of the execution of the work phase. VERY HAPPY!

I met Bobby Miles at the home and garden show in January.  A good first impression means a lot!  Not many company CEO's meet customers in person, which was a plus.  Dan Seibert was no nonsense, no high pressure sales and a very well rounded sales rep.  He was a pleasure to work with.  It was because of him that your company got my business.  He was very reasonable, listened to my needs/concerns and agreed with me about just what needed to be fixed.  He wasn't a high pressure guy who wanted me to spend $27,000 for something I didn’t really need, like the "other" company sale person was.  That guy wanted to rip me off, a real turn-off.    The crew leader Shawn Wardlow was also an easy guy to work with.  He and his crew spent almost 12 hours to get my job done.  When he and his crew first arrived, I asked "will this be done in one day"? Sure will he said!  They stayed until the job was done and left with a heap pf debris on their truck, I'm voting for Dan and Shawn both to get the WOW Award.  Hard work and a job well done, thanks Shawn!  After the crew left it looked like they'd never been here, lots of prep work putting up plastic all around to keep the dust down and the clean-up afterwards was great!  Hands down approval.  Glad I found your company instead of Ever-Dry.

Walt Fanthorp is the reason we ended up choosing to do business with The Basement Doctor.  He conducted the third estimate we had done.  While other salespeople/technicians were cordial and professional Mr. Fanthorp went above and beyond.  He did not complain about the idiosyncrasies of our basement like other companies' reps did; rather he stated his opinion of the required solution in a straightforward manner.  He also showed me a video of the water guard technology as well as how houses are built at the foundation and basement level-no one else ever came close to helping me understand how water was likely getting into the basement.  He was also friendly and down-to-earth and easy to talk to, and, unlike the sales reps from other companies we spoke with, he actually smiled a lot and appeared to really enjoy his work and believe in his company.  He did a great job building a relationship with me in a short amount of time, and as a result, I felt really good about giving my business to Basement Doctor.   I originally found out about the company through an internet search.  But, as I mentioned above, I chose this company largely due to the professionalism and friendliness of Mr. Fanthorp as well as his proposed solution to our basement water issue.  In addition, I was impressed with the water guard technology and felt that would suit our needs as water was seeping into the basement at times through one particular wall, and the price was lower than that quoted by other companies on the order of two grand or so.  For all of these reasons and above all the courtesy and professionalism of Mr. Fanthorp, we decided to choose the basement doctor.

Michael Jordan and his team showed up for work when scheduled. We live in Harrison County, Kentucky. They were correcting a water problem in our crawl space by trenching a waterway and installing a sump pump with battery backup. Michael explained the process before, during, and a small change that was made. He also showed me how the system worked and the suggested maintenance checks when completed. Although hoping we never have the flooding again, it's good to know we now have the system installed to remedy our situation. Thanks!

Then men were very frinedly, cleaned up and the crew manager explained what he was doing.  Very nice people to have in your home!  Harry even explained to my neighbor how the job on her basement was to be done properly!  It made her feel better also.

Bobby:  The install last Thursday went without a hitch.  Harry, Jon and Tyler  worked as a team and were out of here in no time.  They represent your company as professionals.    I am looking forward to my next radon test in a few weeks.  I anticipate my next test results to be lowered significantly from my previous tests due to the Clean Space install.   I am well pleased with the installation.   Thanks again.

PowerBraces, WaterGuard and BrightWall resolves a bowing wall with water seepage in Cold Springs, KY

A Cold Springs, Kentucky homeowner was having problems with a bowing wall that was also seeping water into the basement.  Austin, a Certified Inspector, recommended having PowerBraces installed to stabilize the wall.  A BrightWall Paneling System to cover the walls and will also direct water down into the WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System.  WaterGuard is a piping system that will intercept the water that is seeping into the basement and will drain it out of the basement through a drainage system, such as a TripleSafe Sump Pump System.

The PowerBrace System will stabilize the wall from settling and can be adjusted to potentially straighten the wall over time.  The BrightWall really brightens up the basement and also keep the water from penetrating into the living space.  The TripleSafe Sump pump system consists of a three pump system.  A primary pump, and a secondary pump that would automatically turn on if the primary pump fails or it becomes overwhelmed.  If the pump becomes overwhelmed both pumps will run together and can pump 6200 gallons of water per hour.  The third pump is the battery back-up pump and will automatically turn on if there is a power failure.

WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System to resolve water problems in Highland Heights, KY

A Highland Heights, Kentucky homeowner has a home with a block foundation that is about 100 years old.  Water is seeping into the basement from the cellar so they called The Basement Doctor of Central Kentucky for help with this problem.  They met with a Certified Inspector, Steve, who recommended WaterGuard Basement Waterproofing System, a SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System along with an UltraSump Battery Back-up System, and BrightWall Paneling System.

WaterGuard is a piping system installed along the foundation walls to intercept water that seeps into the basement. It will then be pumped out of the basement through a sump pump system, such as the SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System.

The SuperSump is a high-end 1/3 hp Zoeller cast iron pump.  It includes the WaterWatch Alarm, the SuperLiner, and an Airtight Lid.  The UltraSump Battery Back-up System is optional but highly recommended.  This system will automatically turn on if there is a primary pump or power failure and comes with its own battery pack and charging station.

BrightWall Paneling system is 4x8 sheets of plastic paneling that not only cover the basement walls but drain water leaks down into the WaterGuard unseen.  BrightWall is attached to the walls with drilled in fasteners and gives the basement a semi-finished look.
