One thing I liked about Klaus, compared to others, was that his price included all materials and repairs which might need to be made. Other contractors would charge extra if they discovered damage to sub-roof.

Dear Mr. Larsen, I'd like to take this opportunity to tell you how happy we are with the work your company did at our residence in East Lyme, CT. We secured five (5) estimates from different companies for a new roof, vinyl siding, skylights, sliding patio door and aluminum gutters. The project was a very large investment and we wanted to hire a company that could handle each phase of work. Some estimates were lower, but hiring your company proved to be the right decision.Salesman Mike Feinberg sat with us to explain all the products and services your company has to offer. He was very patient in answering all of our questions and concerns. After we secured the other estimates, we called Mike back because of his knowledge, responsiveness, and honesty. Before contracts were signed, he brought in John Schultz to discuss more technical aspects of the siding job for which we had many questions. Mike and John made it clear to us that the labor and materials to be provided would be of top quality. They certainly delivered on their promises. Luis's roofing crew, Edwin's siding crew, and Joe's gutter crew were all very neat and organized. All of them were very respectful, and they performed their jobs in a very professional manner. John provided us with valuable advice regarding the siding and accessory choices, and Edwin and his crew followed all of his directives regarding the installation. They completed the work in a very timely fashion and notified us of any short delays beyond their control due to weather, etc.Please extend our sincere gratitude to everyone involved in our renovation project. Extremely happy with the professionalism and the very reasonable cost to have 3 gables of my 3 story 1850 historic home redone. The roofing crew left my yard spotless of debris and they had to tear off of many years worth of roofing material. I also ordered an attic fan which worked for 1 year after it was installed but the following year it stopped working. Klaus sent a guy who replaced the fan at no charge. The following year, that fan stopped working again.Klaus sent another crew came and gave me a new, better upgraded quality fan. Assistant project manager Greg Martin is a very fine representative for your company . I was very impressed with his professionalism and concern for my situation. I would definitely recommend your company to anyone who wants a quality job done at a great price. Klaus Larsen is an excellent company and I cant say enough, but thank you for the great job you did on my house!! So refreshing to see a company with integrity that stands behind their work. Dear Klaus, All too often people only write to a company (or post online) to complain. But I just wanted to send you and your entire team a "Thanks and Job Well Done"! The excellent service that your company provided was in such stark contrast to the chimney company that I choose (total disaster) - I can't even begin to tell you. From the beginning of the process Steve Ohlund was very professional and knowledgeable, and followed up in a very timely manner to my many questions and concerns. He made me feel very comfortable in the process and was not overbearing or pushy at all (a common trait you do see during in-home presentations). He knows he has a great product and great people behind him, and that was very evident with the way he conducted his presentation and follow up. (Just an FYI - you weren't the cheapest in price, but you were very competitive, and the best in terms of value). The next step was working with Audrey and she was a true joy to work with. She was in constant communication and updated me throughout the entire process and was always a step ahead of my questions. She was always able to be reached, and was very friendly, courteous, and helpful. When the actual work began, I was at a national meeting in NYC, but my wife was extremely impressed with how hard everyone was working, and for how long each day they were here. We recently had our first child, and I was never more at ease with them being the only ones here. My son was actually able to sleep during the work too, so they get high marks on the noise level, or lack there of. The actual workers that were here, were professional, courteous, and incredibly hard-working. (Not to mention they were here working during the week that had the actual worst humidity and heat this summer.) In addition the foreman and a worker came here on a Friday night to make sure my chimney wouldn't leak (because it was supposed to rain that weekend), while I was still waiting for that chimney company to come back and fix their horrible work. The fact that they were even thinking of my house on a friday night, when they weren't even here that day, made me realize that your company is truly top-notch. The outside of our house was left in great condition, and I never found one nail in the grass. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend your company to anyone, and I would always be a referral if you need one. If money wasn't so tight right now, I would have your siding team here if they operated the same way your roofers do - that's just how good of a job they did. If we are ever able to have that done in the future, your company will be the first one I call. I just wanted to let you know you have an incredible team. Thanks! P.S. - I was outside mowing the lawn this weekend, and was just so incredibly happy when I was looking at the roof.

After reviewing the various quotes I received, I thought that Klaus Larsen would be able to do the best job and I was confident he would be able to complete it as originally quoted. The Platinum Warranty was somewhat of a consideration, but it was more important to me to be able to transfer the warranty if I chose to move, so the new homeowner would have that same warranty. I believe Klaus would do a good job for everybody. He completes his job as he is contracted, and he has a great team of people who do professional work. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Klaus.

Removed old roof and installed new roof with a 50 year warranty. Installed new gutters, and two new solar skylights. Complete cleanup afterward. Job done all in one day with minimal disruption. The salesman and work supervisor were knowledgeable, courteous, and answered all our questions. The crew arrived early in the morning and, after securing the huge netting to catch all the debris, started to remove the 2 layers of old shingles. They then started the new roof installation process while 2 other workers cleaned up. By 5:30 p.m. the entire new roof on the house and garage was completed and the property cleaned up.

Jeremy arrived right on time and went right to work in a very professional manner. When he had completed the inspection and caulking we had a delightful chat during which I asked him for his thoughts on the condition of our roof. He said it was in good shape for its age and I had a couple of more years with it. I asked him if he could send me a quote on replacing it as we like to be proactive in these areas. Much to my surprise he sat in his car and printed me out a formal quotation and explained the entire replacement process to me. You can usually tell the quality of a company by the quality of its representative and his presentation. Let me tell you Jeremy is a fine representative who represents a terrific company. I have since researched his company additionally and I am thoroughly convinced that they will be a great company to work with and I can assure you they will be at the top of my list when it comes to roof replacement time. Roof replacement in Wilton, CT

A beautiful transformation for this home's roof in Wilton, CT with a full Klaus Larsen Roofing System! As an important part of the Klaus Roofing Way, our team inspects the attic space to identify any structural problems and molding. For this home, a lot of the plywood was wet in the attic. We first replaced any damaged plywood and renailed the existing decking with Ring Shank Nails, a higher quality nail that is a cross between a nail and a screw and won't come out in high winds. We then laid down our Klaus Larsen Roofing SealoronXT Ice & Water self-sealing membrane to create a moisture barrier between the decking and the shingles. We also added 100 extra feet of Ice & Water for the lower slope roof on left rear of the house. For even more protection, we installed our own Velora One Underlayment, a high performance synthetic underlayment designed to protect the home in even the most severe weather. We also took the extra step to protect the home by taping the the plywood steams with our all-weather SealoronXT Deck Tape, a self-adhering tape used to seal the plywood roof deck and protect the structure by keeping water out. It's the Klaus Roofing Way! To top it off, for new asphalt shingles, we installed IKO Dynasty Architectural Shingles featuring a 1-1/4" nailing area made with a tough reinforcing woven band for incredible nail-holding power to protect the home against Mother Nature's fury. The homeowner choose the shingle color Granite Black for their new roof.

Replacement of a Leaky Roof in Newtown, CT

The roof was only fourteen years old, but was experiencing leaking. We found that the primary source of water intrusion was originating from the bottom of a valley. Part of this project entailed removing all prior roofing materials from the bottom of the valley, as well as the bottom 3-4 courses of siding from the adjoining wall. We then covered all exposed decking with new Ice & Water shield, and ran the membrane up the side wall of the house. In addition to Estate Grey shingles, Klaus Larsen installed new drip edges, step flashing and replaced the siding.

Garage Roof Replacement

This homeowner was in need of a new roof on their garage after experiencing leaks. After tearing off the existing layer of roofing materials, we replaced all damaged sheets of plywood decking. We then installed two rows of ice & water barrier near all eaves, valleys, and intersections of the garage. We also sealed all joints on the roof deck with flashing tape, in accordance with the new building codes. We installed a Klaus Larsen Roofing System with IKO Cambridge Architectural Shingles in the color Weatherwood. We finished the job by removing and replacing the existing chimney flashing with brand new lead flashing. This garage is now safe and secure thanks to Klaus Larsen Roofing!

Ranch Roof Replacement in Woodbury, CT

This ranch style home in Woodbury, CT was in need of a roof replacement due to its age and the build up of moss and algae. We began this job by tearing away and disposing of the existing roofing material. We inspected the roof deck, and found 5 damaged plywood decking sheets that we then replaced. Next, we installed two rows of Ice & Water Barrier to protect the home from inclement weather. We also added a Synthetic Underlayment to further protect the home from the elements. For shingles, we installed a Klaus Larsen Roofing System using IKO Cambridge Architectural Shingles in the Driftwood colorway. To finish the job we installed a ridge vent to maintain consistent attic ventilation, as well as replacing the existing chimney flashing and vent pipe boot. This ranch style home in Woodbury is now complete thanks to Klaus Larsen Roofing!

The scope of this project included aluminum seamless gutters and Owens Corning Duration Driftwood shingles capping off a fully vented roofing system.
