Since they only hold a fraction of the water that a full-sized pool holds, the need for chemicals is highly reduced, and you can choose between normal, and saltwater plunge pools. The cost of maintaining them is also greatly reduced, and they are remarkably inexpensive to heat for year-round use.

Most plunge pools are pretty minimal in design, usually just rectangular or round, but there are options to customize them to your own taste, including waterfalls, seating options, as well as jets to create currents, or massaging streams.
