TBF did a fantastic job finishing our basement and we couldn't be happier with the outcome. Work was high quality, done professionally and on time. It was a very positive experience with Ken managing the project (outstanding project manager) and Lucas and team doing the bulk of the work (high quality work). Was pretty painless - the two rooms they did came out pretty fantastic and they were able to work with and around existing duct work and plumbing in such a way that it looks really good and not out of place!

Mike, Dan, and Bruce were fantastic. They were proactive, communicated in an extremely timely manner, and the quality of work is very high. They clearly take pride in what they do, and it shows. I had a very positive experience with Total Basement Finishing. My basement looks amazing! They were very reliable, doing their work right on schedule, and they were very professional. I would recommend them for anyone who wants to find ish their basement.

We had over 700sqft of our basement finished with TBF. They were the first and only quote we received. The second company we called for a quote basically didn’t want to come out after we had told then we met with TBF. The lady was defensive & short when we asked questions about their system - big turn off!Our Sales rep, Jim, was very thorough. He worked with our budget to get us what we were looking for.Our project manager, Tim, was very responsive & addressed all of our concerns, small or big! Contractors were friendly & professional. Workmanship is beautiful, a lot of compliments from family & friends. The bulk of project was completed within 4 weeks & entire project completed within estimated time frame of 8 weeks.The only thing I wish we had done differently was to make the door to the unfinished area slightly larger. I believe is standard size but it is hard to fit some of the bigger objects/furniture through. This is something we had not thought of until we began moving stuff back in (especially since there is a support beam just beyond it). But given all the “stuff” going on in the ceiling (pipes, HVAC etc) not sure a bigger door would have been possible. But just something you may want to keep in mind...This was not a cheap project - but as we say,“Good work ain’t cheap & cheap work ain’t good!” I feel good knowing there won’t be any mold growing on our walls etc. We will definitely consider them for future renovations. I think what I liked about them the most was that they never seemed agitated with our requests/concerns & made sure we were happy with our new space. Hope this is helpful!

Overall, Blackdog made this job pretty easy. We would hire them again, no problem, and we've already recommended them to a few folks. We can't say enough good things about Ron. In addition to doing extremely high quality work and paying attention to detail, he always promptly communicated all the details we needed, and he was always, always pleasant. We'd adopt him if we could. He consistently went well above and beyond the call of duty. He let our 4 year old son "help" him at times, he'd bring in the morning paper, he'd occasionally buy donuts for our son when he got his coffee, and he even went out and bought some window AC units when our central AC was being worked on and the summer heat arrived. It's people like Ron who, by working on your home with the same care and attention to detail as if it were his own, sets Blackdog apart from the rest.

We were very impressed with Steve Stuart. Steve really listened to our needs and desires and designed a remodel plan that was exactly what we wanted! He was also great at emailing and communicating with us in a timely fashion with any changes or questions we had.Our lead carpenter, Aaron Clymer was outstanding. The quality of his work was fantastic, the daily clean up was amazing, and he was very helpful in helping me to "see" the vision of our plans and bringing them to be realized. We felt very confident in his abilities and very comfortable having him in our home.

Roomy Man Cave Along with Spaces to Exercise and Read!

This homeowner of this Auburn home had a simple vision with a unique twist, and TBF was happy to oblige. Their basement was one big room, like many, and the homeowner wanted to add some dynamic features to spice it up and get more out of the space. Since the upstairs was getting more crowded, the basement was to be transformed into a man-cave, complete with a workout area, a play area for the kids, and even a reading nook under the staircase. All in all, the homeowner wanted to change a bland basement into a dynamic space that could open up the rest of the house and make everybody happy.

TBF took this request in stride and provided an excellent solution for the homeowner. We took this previously neglected space and turned it into a fully furnished man-cave that the homeowner could work out and have some relaxation time in. Their kids could also play in the pleasant dry space, and take advantage of the new reading nook that could fit a twin mattress in. With the installation of the paintable system and Elite plank flooring paired with SaniDry, their new basement not only fits the desired purpose, but also looks fantastic.
